Anna Kendrick’s Surprising Take on Rebel Wilson’s Love Story
Anna Kendrick says Rebel Wilson and her wife Ramona Agruma are a perfect match.
According to Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Ramona Agruma were destined to be together.
“It’s very punk rock that you have a wife,” Kendrick, 39, told her *Pitch Perfect* costar during a conversation on the set of their commercials for Splash Refresher. “But then I’m like, ‘You’re a wife. What the f—?’”
“Yeah, I know, it’s crazy,” Wilson, 45, agreed. “My life has definitely changed a lot in the last three years. It just went [in] a totally different direction, which I feel very grateful for. I’m very lucky.”
Wilson married Agruma, the founder of a sustainable clothing brand, last September after getting engaged in 2023. The couple, who are raising Wilson’s daughter Royce Lillian together, first revealed their relationship in June 2022.
Kendrick met Agruma a couple of years ago at a birthday party hosted by Wilson. “It was so beautiful. That’s when we all fell in love with her.” (“We all” includes much of the *Pitch Perfect* trilogy cast, who have remained close since the films’ success.)
“Honestly, Rebel’s the most unique person that I know and I couldn’t really picture who she was going to end up with,” continued Kendrick. “And then we all met Ramona and I swear to God, it was like, ‘Oh, my God. There’s another one. There’s a second one that’s walking the earth.’”
She added, “And they found each other. It’s so right.”
Wilson responded with a grin. “I think she really likes you too.” Kendrick quipped, “Oh, thank goodness.”
Kendrick, who said she jumped at the chance to reunite with Wilson to promote Splash Refresher’s new sparkling flavored waters, also plans to join Wilson and her family on alpine vacations.
“Do you want to hold my hand when we go down the slope?” Wilson teased her friend. “I want to get on your back,” Kendrick joked.
Wilson stars in *Juliet & Romeo* (in theaters May 9) and *Bride Hard* (in theaters June 20) this year. Kendrick stars alongside Blake Lively in Paul Feig’s *Another Simple Favor* (on Prime Video May 1), the sequel to 2018’s *A Simple Favor*.
