Benny Blanco Says This 1 Thing Selena Gomez Cooks Him Would Be His ‘Last Meal’ Request

The music producer, 37, and singer, 32, revealed on a recent podcast episode that they would want their partner’s signature dishes included in their “last meal.”
During their appearance, Blanco shared that he would want Gomez’s corn casserole to be at his “last supper.”
“We’re big on casserole,” Gomez said, explaining that it’s similar to a sweet cornbread.
“It’s delicious,” Blanco added, noting that his mom used to make her own version of Gomez’s dish for him. “It doesn’t have the same density [as cornbread], it’s much looser.”
He also mentioned that he grew up eating a lot of corn, especially during Thanksgiving. Gomez shared that she loves it just as much and often requests it. The Emmy nominee explained that she could eat a lot of it. “I love [it], like, because you can make it the Mexican street with all of [the corn]. [That’s] how I grew up.”
Meanwhile, Blanco guessed what his fiancée’s last meal would be, predicting that she would also include one of his home-cooked dishes. “She wants my steak, specifically,” he said. “I do like a ribeye, and then I usually smoke it low for a long time, and then I sear it at the end.”
“I smoke it in a smoker for like, an hour,” he revealed, adding that it gives it a “medium smoke” flavor, “almost like barbecue.”
He then explained that the actress would want small portions of everything.
“A little teeny bit” of her grandmother’s rice and tamale, “a little bit of her mom’s cheese potatoes,” he continued. “One bite of Nana’s chicken and dumplings.”
Gomez clarified that her grandmother was her father’s mother, and the Mexican recipes come from that side of her family. Her Nana is her mother’s mother, explaining that her Southern roots stem from her mom’s side.
Blanco shifted from Gomez’s loved ones’ meals, adding that she would want one piece of salmon sushi with sesame seeds on top, dipped in soy sauce. Then, a Mexican pizza, a Coke slushie, movie theater nachos with pickled jalapenos, “so she can mix the juice with the chips.”
Once he finished listing all the little bites, she would have in her final meal, Gomez confirmed that he only forgot one thing. “The creepy and wonderful thing is Benny knows me very very well. So yes. The only thing he missed is maybe Benihana’s fried rice.”
