Donald Trump Calls Kamala Harris a ‘S— Vice President’ as His Personal Attacks Ramp Up Ahead of Election Day
Donald Trump referred to Kamala Harris as a “s— vice president” during his latest rally in Pennsylvania.
While speaking at Latrobe’s Arnold Palmer Regional Airport on Saturday, Oct. 19, the former commander-in-chief and current Republican presidential candidate, 78, used the expletive when referring to Harris, as he continues to ramp up personal attacks just weeks before Election Day.
The comment came after Trump mentioned Senator Bernie Sanders, as he claimed that Harris was “further left” than him. “And then, so you have to tell Kamala Harris that you’ve had enough, that you just can’t take it anymore,” he said, encouraging his crowd in footage shared by multiple outlets.
“We can’t stand you. You’re a s— vice president.”
Trump’s audience also had the opportunity to use the word “s—” in reference to the Biden-Harris administration at another point during his remarks, per the New York Times. “Such a horrible four years,” he said. “We had a horrible — think of the — everything they touch turns to —” he said, to which many members of the crowd reportedly yelled “s—.”
Previously, Trump called Harris a “horrible person,” “not a smart person” and a “liar” during a campaign event in Scranton, Pa., earlier this month, as reported by NBC News at the time. His latest Harris attack comes nearly three weeks after he also reportedly used the R-word to describe the Democratic nominee during a dinner with billionaire donors.
Per the NYT, the politician hosted a gathering at his Trump Tower penthouse on Sunday, Sept. 29, and used the term while also airing grievances about the 2024 presidential race and lashing out about donors not appreciating him. A representative for Trump did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment at the time.
Speaking with PEOPLE last month, the former president’s nephew Fred C. Trump III said that he believes Trump “doesn’t care who gets hurt in the wake of what he’s trying to get accomplished, which is to benefit himself.”
Fred, who endorsed Harris for president, added that he believed Joe Biden’s departure from the race caught the Trump campaign “flat-footed” and that his uncle was “going to go nuts” on people as things progressed. “It’s going to get nasty,” he said. “The race is going to come up in a big ugly way. [Donald] demeans people on a regular basis. … Everybody’s a loser. Everybody is stupider than him. You’ve seen it already.”
Campaign rallies were a topic of discussion during Harris and Trump’s sole presidential debate on Tuesday, Sept. 10. At the time, Harris described the former president’s rallies as a “really interesting thing to watch.”
“You will see during the course of his rallies he talks about fictional characters like Hannibal Lecter,” she said. “He will talk about windmills cause cancer. And what you will also notice is that people start leaving his rallies early out of exhaustion and boredom.”
Trump responded, claiming that voters had “no reason to go” to Harris’ campaign events.
Election day is approaching on Nov. 5 as Trump and Harris continue on their respective campaign trails. Some Americans have already filled out their 2024 absentee ballots, including former president Jimmy Carter, who “absolutely” voted for Harris, per his family.
