Jelly Roll’s Fresh Look & ACM Awards 2025 Pick: Exclusive!

Jelly Roll is already thinking about who he’d like to see win big at the 2025 ACM Awards.

The “Save Me” artist – Jason Bradley DeFord – shared his thoughts on the red carpet, revealing he’s pulling for a specific artist to take home the Entertainer of the Year award.

Jelly, 40, mentioned that while he has “a lot of acquaintances” in the music world, he considers Lainey Wilson and Cody Johnson to be among his closest friends.

He’s especially hoping that the “Dirt Cheap” singer, 37, will win the coveted award at this year’s ceremony.

“I love Cody Johnson so much,” Jelly said. “Since Lainey won it last year, I’m cheering for Cody to win Entertainer [of the Year] this year.”

The “Need a Favor” artist also showed off his noticeably slimmer appearance on the red carpet, just a month after discussing his weight loss journey on a live show.

“It looks like you’ve lost a person,” the host remarked as Jelly stepped back to showcase his new physique.

“I started at 540 lbs.,” he shared. “I’m 357 lbs. [as of] this morning, baby!”

Jelly then revealed his plans to lose another 100 lbs. “to go skydiving with my wife in Sweden, baby!”

Back in December 2024, he discussed his weight and goals on his wife, Bunnie Xo’s, podcast, revealing his ambition.

“I wanna be on the cover of a men’s magazine by March of 2026,” Jelly said, which made his wife, 45, very happy.

He added, “That’s my new goal. I wanna have one of the biggest transformations.”

The country star is nominated for three awards at this year’s ceremony, including entertainer of the year, male artist of the year, and album of the year for his 2024 LP Beautifully Broken.

The 60th Academy of Country Music Awards, hosted by Reba McEntire, are streaming live from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.
