Jodie Sweetin to Narrate New Audiobook for Memoir unSweetined: ‘My Voice, My Emotions and My Truth’ (Exclusive)

Jodie Sweetin will narrate the audiobook for her memoir *unSweetined*.

Originally published in 2009, the book recounts the *Full House* star’s life after the beloved sitcom ended, and her journey with addiction and recovery.

“It was such a personal experience to revisit these stories in my own voice all these years later,” Sweetin tells of the audiobook, out in August 2025.

Jodie Sweetin is lending her voice to a personal project.

The *Full House* star, 43, will narrate a new audiobook edition of her memoir *unSweetined*. The project will be released this summer through Simon & Schuster Audio.

Originally published in 2009, *unSweetined* recounts the author’s life after child stardom. Best known for stealing hearts as middle sister Stephanie Tanner, life took a different turn for Sweetin after *Full House* ended in 1995. In the book, Sweetin describes her experience with addiction and her journey toward recovery.

The audiobook will include a new introduction written by Sweetin, which recounts the “significant growth and life changes” she’s experienced in the years following the memoir’s original publication, per a statement.

“I’m proud knowing that this audiobook is my voice, my emotions and my truth all wrapped together. I was really vulnerable in the process of recording and I hope listeners feel that connection with every word.”

In addition to her writing, Sweetin recently reprised her role as Stephanie Tanner on the *Full House* Netflix reboot, *Fuller House*. She also cohosts the series rewatch podcast *How Rude, Tanneritos!* with former costar Andrea Barber.

When looking back on her iconic role, the actress previously shared that she’s come to appreciate the series even more with time.

“It’s a huge honor to get to be part of something that so many people find comfort in, and there’s not many opportunities or careers where that gets to happen,” Sweetin said. “And so I am incredibly grateful for that. I still love what I do. I still love entertaining, I love comedy. And it’s because people fell in love with *Full House* and Stephanie and have continued to, so I’m just beyond grateful for it.”

The audiobook edition of *unSweetined* will be available on Aug. 19.
