“Justin Bieber’s Mysterious Message on Life’s True Gift Sparks Health Concerns: ‘Nothing Left to Prove'”

Justin Bieber conveyed a vague, motivational message on social media amidst fans’ worries about his well-being.

On Saturday, March 8, the two-time Grammy recipient, 31, shared the enigmatic message on his Instagram Stories, which he composed in all uppercase letters and posted against a plain white backdrop. 

“We have nothing to demonstrate today,” he initiated the message, which he also set to the tune of Stevie Wonder’s 1976 track “Sir Duke.”

“Just the gift of life today to embrace and [receive],” the celebrity proceeded. “Nothing is owed to us and we [don’t] owe anyone anything ♥️.”

Justin — who welcomed his son, Jack Blues, with spouse Hailey Baldwin Bieber in August — initially ignited concerns among fans regarding his health and speculation that he was using narcotics after observers noted supposed alterations in his physical appearance and behavior in February.

In a declaration first reported by TMZ on Feb. 23, a representative of the couple’s team later dismissed the speculations, asserting that the claims concerning Justin’s health and drug use are untrue. They stated that the past year has been “very transformative” for the artist, “as he ended several close friendships and business connections that no longer benefitted him.”

The musician is currently occupied with supporting Hailey, 28, and Jack, and is concentrating on his health and artistic pursuits, the team member added. They also remarked that the falsehoods regarding his drug use are “tiring and pathetic,” noting that “despite the evident reality, individuals are determined to perpetuate negative, scandalous, harmful narratives.”

A representative for Justin chose not to offer additional remarks to PEOPLE at that moment.

Justin had previously communicated a similarly styled — and equally vague — message on Instagram Stories discussing transformation and insecurities.

“It’s time to mature! Transformation is about letting go! Not striving harder! Are you weary of attempting to adhere to all the regulations in hopes of obtaining the outcomes you desire?” the artist commenced the lengthy Feb. 20 message, which was accompanied by a John Mayer cover of “Free Fallin’” by Tom Petty.

Justin then expressed feeling as though he’s “discovered love to be more potent than rules” through personal experience. “I tried to follow the regulations. I’m not adept at it. But you don’t need to adhere to rules to step into a life of love. You simply receive,” he penned at that time. “So step into love living! God always gifts us love! It’s one of his promises!”

“Upon accepting God’s love! You begin to transform and start following love. You don’t need to struggle to mature! You release to mature!” he continued. “Today I’m letting go and remembering the weight isn’t on me to change. The responsibility lies with God. So I surrender all my insecurities and fears to him this morning because I know he willingly accepts it. Asking Jesus to sincerely assist me with merely the next step today.”

More recently, Justin marked his 31st birthday on March 1, a celebration that involved a “fun, relaxing getaway” at an Idaho ranch with his wife, son, and friends, a Bieber source previously disclosed to PEOPLE.

The same insider also informed PEOPLE that as he enters a new year of life, the pop star is “doing well” and not experiencing any “pressure.”

“Justin has a few focal points that he concentrates on daily — Hailey, baby Jack, and new music. This is his life now, and he cherishes it,” the Bieber insider stated. “He’s working at his own rhythm and spending as much time with his family as he can.”
