Kelly Stafford’s Edible Confession: A Better Mom Through Gummies?

Kelly Stafford recently shared a personal parenting strategy on her podcast, “The Morning After,” revealing her occasional use of weed gummies. Kelly and her NFL star husband, Matthew Stafford, are parents to four daughters.
The 36-year-old mother discussed her feelings about weed gummies during the June 16 episode.
“Sometimes I feel like gummies make me a better parent,” Kelly admitted. “They calm me; it’s like the glass of wine.”
Podcast guest Kit Hoover supported Kelly’s sentiment, stating, “I called it the glass of patience. By the time you get to bed and bath, it makes you a better parent.”
Kelly appreciated Hoover’s response, confessing, “I feel a little guilty saying that. And it’s not like I do it every night, but sometimes I’m like, s—, it has been a long day. I don’t wanna rip my hair out or their hair out, so I am going to just top it off with a little gummy.”
Hoover encouraged Kelly to ease up on herself, especially when “it’s a s—– day, or the kids are acting s—–, or you’ve had enough.”
“It’s like, don’t sweat that small stuff. You are gonna blink [and] they’re grown up, and you’re gonna laugh so hard about all the shenanigans,” Hoover added.
Kelly, who shares daughters Sawyer, 8, Chandler, 8, Hunter, 6, and Tyler, 4, with the Los Angeles Rams quarterback, shared, “This is what Matthew always tells me. He’s like, ‘As long as they’re in bed, fed, and happy and feel loved, who cares?’ “
Kelly mentioned that while she feels “a little guilt” when she takes a gummy before interacting with her children, even her daughters notice a change.
“My kids and I laugh, and I feel like they’re like, ‘Mommy’s nice tonight,’ “ Kelly added. “And I get both sides. Some nights, I’m really mean. Some nights, I’m really nice. And I feel like that’s a good balance.”
Her perspective on gummies isn’t the only recent instance of Kelly being candid. Last month, the podcast host spoke openly about the plastic surgery procedures she underwent after having her four children.
“I had my boobs redone, and you also did the tummy tuck, and you put back together my abs,” Kelly shared with her plastic surgeon, Dr. Garth Fisher, referring to her “mommy makeover.”
Reflecting on her 2021 transformation, Kelly noted, “I felt great after mine. I felt very confident.” Stay tuned for more updates from Eternal Pen, where we bring you the latest in celebrity news and insights.
