Livvy Dunne Trades In Her Leotard For Pretty Pink Ruffles at Kentucky Derby Event

Livvy Dunne embraced a vibrant pink ensemble as she celebrated the Kentucky Derby weekend!
The 22-year-old gymnast, known for her accomplishments and appearances, was the host of Club SI at Churchill Downs during the Kentucky Oaks on Friday, May 2nd.
For the occasion, the athlete chose an ultra-feminine look with a light pink mini dress. The dress featured delicate, airy ruffles on both shoulder straps and a V-neck design. Cutouts at the mid-section added a touch of allure, revealing her lower back.
No derby outfit would be complete without an elaborate headpiece, and Dunne sported a matching asymmetric disc headband fascinator.
She complemented her dress with pink platform sandals featuring two straps adorned with delicate bow designs.
Dunne accessorized with a light-colored straw handbag with wooden handles. The front of the bag showcased a sequin pattern in various shades of pink.
Silver was the metal of choice for the athlete-turned-influencer. She wore small, dazzling hoop earrings, a silver watch on one wrist, and a silver bracelet on the other.
Her signature blonde hair was styled in a low ponytail, with a few strands elegantly framing her face.
In her Instagram Stories, the Louisiana State University (LSU) graduate shared a photo of herself with several other women, all dressed in pink, as she “enjoyed the Louisiana suite.”
The gymnast announced the conclusion of her collegiate career on April 17th.
On April 21st, Dunne posted an emotional recap on Instagram, highlighting her decades of dedication to the sport.
The video began with her entering a dimly lit, empty auditorium. As she sat down, a projector displayed footage of significant milestones in her career.
“Time flies when you’re having fun,” she narrated over clips of her at competitions and practices. “That’s exactly how the past 20 years in this sport have felt.”
“The highs, the lows, making the U.S. National team and competing for our country. Every risk was worth the reward,” Dunne said as Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For” played in the background.
Calling gymnastics her “first love,” she also expressed gratitude to her teammates for their “sisterhood” and to her coaches “for pushing me to be great.”
“I will cherish every memory for the rest of my life,” she said. “Thank you for everything, gymnastics. You were so good to me.”
