Lottie Tomlinson’s Flight Scare: Emergency Surgery Revealed
Lottie Tomlinson, sister of Louis Tomlinson, is recovering after a recent health scare that required emergency surgery.
On Thursday, June 19th, Lottie, 26, shared on her Instagram Stories that she fell ill while flying to Abu Dhabi.
“So I didn’t expect to start my trip like this,” the mother of two said from a hospital bed. “But I’m just grateful that I’m recovering now. I fell quite ill on the way here on the plane with really bad stomach pains.”
She added that upon arriving in Abu Dhabi, she began vomiting.
“Long story short, I went to the doctor and they put me on a drip,” Lottie explained. “But it wasn’t helping the stomach pains. So they sent me to hospital, where I discovered that I had appendicitis.”
Appendicitis occurs when the appendix becomes inflamed, causing pain in the lower right abdomen. The condition typically requires surgery or antibiotics and can be serious.
“So it needed surgery straight away,” Lottie told her followers. “So last night I had surgery to remove my appendix, and it all went well.”
She expressed her appreciation for the medical staff, thanking the nurses and doctors for their care.
The content creator, who has a son, Lucky, 2, and a 5-month-old daughter, Flossie, with fiancé Lewis Burton, then shared a photo of Burton and their son visiting her in the hospital room.
“Hopefully I can make a speedy recovery and enjoy our last few days here,” she wrote, as Lucky sat on a chair and her partner shared a sweet moment with him.
Her wish came true; a few hours later, Lottie returned to Instagram Stories to announce that she had been discharged from the hospital and was “on the way to hotel to rest.”
“Thank you so much for all the kind messages,” she wrote to her online supporters.
