Brooks Marks Dishes on New Romance: “He’s the Most Handsome”

Love is definitely in the air for Brooks Marks.
The 25-year-old reality star, first introduced to fans on *The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City*, shared on the June 17 episode of *Next Gen NYC* that he’s dating “the most handsome man,” his boyfriend Kade.
When Brooks’ father, Seth Marks, inquired if he and his boyfriend play golf together, Brooks responded, “No, we haven’t. It’s not his sport of choice, but he says he’s pretty good.”
Brooks then elaborated on his “big news,” detailing how he and Kade connected.
“Kade and I met in Park City. I was out with my mom during Sundance, and out of the corner of my eye, I saw the most handsome man,” he revealed on the show. “We danced, like, all night long. We had a little kiss.”
Brooks described Kade as “the most incredible boyfriend ever” but acknowledged a challenge in their relationship: the distance, as Kade divides his time between Austin and Los Angeles.
“So every time he’s here, I’m like, ‘What can I do to make you never want to leave again?'” Brooks said.
Seth then began asking personal questions about Brooks and Kade’s relationship in an attempt to connect with his son.
“How’s your sex life?” Seth asked, prompting Brooks to quickly shut down the conversation, responding, “That’s not something that I need to talk to my dad about.”
Seth explained that he desired a “deeper, emotional connection” with Brooks after learning that he discusses these topics with his mother, Meredith Marks. He pressed further, asking about Brooks’ and Kade’s “body counts” – the number of people they’ve slept with.
“I just want to make sure you know that before you give him your heart completely, that it’s mutual,” Seth told his son. “I don’t want to see my kids get their hearts crushed.”
Brooks’ revelation about his boyfriend comes after he previously discussed the experience of having his sexuality and personal life scrutinized on television.
During the June 10 episode of *Next Gen NYC*, Brooks reflected on growing up in the public eye on *The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City*.
“What I went through with my sexuality being discussed on TV, facing the backlash that I did, made me feel so insecure and, like, worthless,” he said.
He reflected on the pressure he felt, saying, “Trying to come into your own is difficult enough, but let alone when thousands of people are weighing in on it, giving their unsolicited opinion about someone who they’ve seen five minutes of on TV, definitely cuts a lot deeper.”
*Next Gen NYC* airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
