Pamela Anderson finds beauty in simplicity.
“I get up very, very early,” the actress and activist, who resides in her renovated childhood home on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, tells PEOPLE. “I write until the sun comes up. As soon as the sun is up, I’m outside taking a walk or with my dog… I’m working a lot now, so those times that I do have for myself are precious.”
Anderson’s work now includes all things pertaining to skincare brand, Sonsie. The cruelty-free and vegan brand launched in the summer of 2023 with the star announcing her involvement in January 2024.
Sonsie was a natural fit for Anderson, who publicly embraced a makeup-free lifestyle at the Vivienne Westwood show during 2023 Paris Fashion Week. Behind the scenes, however, the star was collaborating on the brand’s next steps with cofounder Marie von Behrens-Felipe.
“I’m at a place in my life where it makes sense to kind of plant my flag in the industry,” she says, “to not only redefine beauty but what it means to be beautiful, and do it in a way that’s intentional and not over-promised.”
After months of sold out releases and a mounting waitlist, Sonsie’s full lineup is returning — and it’s better than ever. The customer-favorite Basic Balm, which fans haven’t been able to get their hands on for six months, has been upgraded with a peptide-powered formula featuring 1% Hydrating Peptide Complex and 25% Bio-based squalane.
“[My lips] just feel more moisturized,” Anderson says of the upgraded formula. “I’m prone to dry lips because I travel so much, and so I am always reapplying lip balm. But with [this formula], it stays, which is really nice. I don’t have to apply it as much.”
Sonsie is also reintroducing its Multi Moisture Cream (formerly known as Multi Moisture Mask) in order to highlight its versatility. Formulated with 12% glycerin and 0.5% hyaluronic acid, the cream can be used as a traditional face moisturizer, body cream, an overnight mask or a moisture-boosting daytime mask.
“I use it on my hands, feet, elbows,” says Anderson. “The whole community was letting me know that they use it for so much more than just a mask. For me, I am always on an airplane, always traveling, and it’s something I just can’t live without.”

The Sonsie lineup is rounded out with the Cleansing Mousse, a gentle foaming cleanser that initially launched in September 2024, and the Super Serum, a lightweight serum boosted with niacinamide and mountain pepper extract.
“I think my beauty routine’s gotten simpler and simpler,” Anderson reflects. “It’s just time outside in my garden, reading, going on walks in nature. And then the Sonsie products are very simple. It’s just the cleanser, the serum, and then the moisture cream, and the cherry on top is the lip balm.”
“That’s all I’ve been wearing,” the star adds. “If it’s a red carpet, a magazine cover, or in my garden. That’s what’s so fun about it, is to actually really test the waters in this industry as well, not just in my own life.”
Anderson clarifies that she’s “not opposed to makeup.”
“I love glam,” she says. “I love all of that. I love creating characters on film or in theater. And [Sonsie] is so wonderful to wear under makeup. It’s a great base.”
The actress previously opened up to PEOPLE about wearing makeup for her acclaimed performance as a Las Vegas showgirl in 2024’sThe Last Showgirl. She made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago in 2022 and this summer, is set to star in a revival of Tennessee Williams’ Camino Real at the The Williamstown Theatre Festival.
The impact of Anderson’s makeup-free movement isn’t lost on her.
“People come up to me daily; at the grocery store, on the beach, on my walks,” she says. “People are like, ‘Thank you so much for doing this.’ A lot of people resonate with it.”
The brand’s belief is “Beauty is the freedom to be yourself” — and that couldn’t be more aligned with Anderson’s POV.
She says, “I think that sometimes we have to come back to ourselves and peel it all the way to remember who we are, what our original thoughts are, what our dreams and aspirations are. So this is all part of it, it’s coming back to who you are and wherever you are in your beauty journey.”
Sonsie is available to shop now.
