Rebel Wilson’s sister had a fiery accident at her wedding.
The actress, 45, recalled a mistake she made as a bridesmaid at her sister Liberty’s wedding in an interview with Entertainment Tonight to promote her new movie, Bride Hard.
When asked about her wedding dos and don’ts, Wilson said, “I have a don’t!”
She went on to tell a story about pulling together indoor pyrotechnics for her sister’s first dance during the wedding reception — and why she doesn’t recommend it.
“I would say to everybody to don’t, because the building started catching on fire,” Wilson said. “The whole place had to be shut down. They had to turn off all the gas, so they couldn’t cook the food for the meals.”
When asked about the type of pyrotechnics she opted for, she said, “It’s just indoor pyrotechnics!” The actress explained that she thought they would “look really great” in photos of the couple’s first dance and impress the guests.
“It turned into a disaster,” Wilson said. “So I would say don’t do indoor pyrotechnics. Outdoor pyrotechnics though… I had that at my wedding. The outdoor pyrotechnics, excellent. Went off without a hitch.”
