Sister Wives’ Kody Brown Recalls His Days Being ‘Mormon Naughty’ Before First Marriage with Meri
Kody Brown’s past relationships were a topic of discussion on a recent episode of *Sister Wives*.
During the *Sister Wives: One on One* special, host Suki Krishna inquired about Kody’s sexual history before his marriage to Meri Brown.
“There were other options that got close,” Kody admitted, referencing his time as a high school athlete. “I was a little bit wild, but I wasn’t. I was being Mormon naughty.” He clarified that this meant “I would kiss and hug, but no actual intercourse.” He likened it to “first base, second base, third base, and no home run.”
After another sports analogy, Kody ended the conversation, stating, “Out of respect for my wife, I’m going to quit discussing this with you. You guys can act like it’s the world’s business… we just crossed the line so it’s done.”
Christine Brown, Kody’s former wife, who left him in November 2021, also questioned the nature of his relationship with Robyn Brown before their marriage. Kody’s separations from Janelle Brown (December 2022) and Meri Brown (confirmed a month later) have left Robyn as his only remaining wife.
Christine commented on Kody and Robyn’s engagement photos, saying, “I wonder how close they got before they were married.” When asked if she suspected premarital sex, Christine responded, “Sexual experience, whatever that means. And he was super comfortable in her house, even walking into her bedroom. That’s a lot of speculation.”
When asked if Robyn would have been intimate before marriage, Christine said, “Well, I don’t know. That’s just automatically what I’m thinking.” She added that it would have been “just yet another lie,” stating, “They lied about everything, so you know how close they were. The fact that he was always over there, come on. All they did was lie… Just not to be trusted.”
Krishna then asked if this knowledge would have affected her welcome into the family. Christine replied, “If I had known that he had told her things that he never told me, I would just been more hurt. I don’t know if it would have changed [anything]. Who knows?” She continued, “But that’s heartbreaking to hear now. I’m not even married to him anymore. That’s like, what a slap in the face? Really? Come on… So he’s bringing that up just to, she’s better than you… Compare, compare, compare.”
Robyn denied any premarital intimacy. “He didn’t kiss me until he asked me to marry him,” she insisted. “And it wasn’t a kiss, it was a stamp. You know, his face smashed mine. That was it, you know, it wasn’t anything super sexy.”
Recalling their first kiss, she said, “He asked me to marry him… And I said yes. And then he grabbed my face, went bam, like kiss me, bam.” She added, “It was like this is now a done deal. We are engaged.”
When asked about any “naughtiness” afterward, she said, “There were chase kisses, little church kisses. But yeah, that’s it.” Addressing Christine’s speculation, she stated, “Oh, no, no, no, nothing. Little church kisses. Something you can do in front of your pastor, your Bishop or something.”
