On Saturday, April 19, the 22-year-old soccer player made her debut in the players’ box as she cheered for Ben Shelton during the semifinals of the BMW Open in Munich. This was the first occasion Rodman was seen supporting Shelton in this capacity.
She attended the event dressed in blue jeans and a simple black tee, accessorized with oversized sunglasses. To shield her eyes from the sun, she occasionally wore a green baseball cap. Rodman completed her look with a layered gold necklace, bracelets, and her hair styled in a slick back bun.
Videos from the tournament shared on social media showed Rodman sitting next to Shelton’s father and coach, Bryan Shelton, during the match. In one clip, Bryan smiled at her as they clapped together.
Rodman proved to be a lucky charm for Shelton, who triumphed over Francisco Cerundolo, with the final score of 2-6, 7-6(7), 6-4, securing his place in the finals.
She was also seen in the players’ box on Sunday, April 20, alongside Bryan. This time, she wore a light blue cropped tank top paired with denim and wore her hair down.
These appearances come after Shelton and Rodman publicly confirmed their relationship on March 17 with a selfie of themselves in an elevator. In the picture, Rodman embraced Shelton while placing a kiss on his cheek.
“I’ve been focused, but I’m steadily climbing, I’m nowhere near my peak,” Shelton captioned the post, which also included a picture of him with his father and a friend outside a private jet.
Trinity, the daughter of NBA legend Dennis Rodman, commented on the post, saying, “Shooters shoot I guess 🤭👀.”
On March 27, she shared a touching photo of them gazing at each other, with Shelton’s face partially hidden behind his green baseball cap. She affectionately captioned it, “Dibs 🤭,” while Shelton responded in the comments, “Whoever that is, he won.”
Rodman previously shared her thoughts on their public relationship in a video interview. Laughing, she remarked, “I mean, I’m just another person in a relationship and people know about it.”
She expressed her happiness and mentioned, “I’m obviously very happy and hopefully some others are too. It’s in the public eye, so I can’t really do much about that.”
Recently, the National Women’s Soccer League announced that Rodman would be taking an indefinite break from the Washington Spirit due to back issues. Rodman, who is also a member of the U.S. national team, celebrated a gold medal win at the Paris Olympics last summer.
