The 22-year-old actor married Jenna Weeks in a “classic cowboy” themed wedding on Saturday, June 21, at Dove Hollow Estate in their native state, Texas.
“We wanted something that said country but elegant,” Weeks said.
The couple’s “simple” yet “perfect” wedding was attended by approximately 200 guests, among whom were several of Jordan’s sitcom costars, including Emily Osment, Rachel Bay Jones, Will Sasso, Jessie Prez and Raegan Revord.
Jordan let Weeks “steer the boat” when it came to wedding planning because he wanted it to be “a perfect day for her,” with hopes it would be “everything she could’ve imagined and more.” For Weeks, it was “truly a dream come true” to plan her wedding alongside the in-house coordinator, MadLove Events.
What the couple of four years immediately agreed on was that their nuptials needed to be “memorable and intimate.”
“Family is really important to us, and being surrounded by them fills our cup,” Weeks said, with Jordan adding, “I didn’t have any must-haves other than having our families celebrate with us.”
Before their ceremony — which was officiated by their hometown pastor, Tony Pierce — Jordan and Weeks privately exchanged handwritten vows. During their ceremony, they highlighted their Christian faith and “gratitude to Jesus” by partaking in communion.
Weeks walked down the aisle accompanied by her father as CeCe Winan’s “Goodness of God,” covered by violinist Alan Milan, played. She wore a wedding dress designed by Valentini that made her “feel like a real-life princess.” Later in the night, she changed into an “elegant” shorter dress that easily allowed her to “dance all night.”
Jordan had a second look too, slipping into “a pair of Wranglers, pearl snap shirt and cowboy boots that have seen better days.”
For the *Young Sheldon* alum, marriage means having “a best friend for life.”
“It means through thick and thin, she is the one till death do us part,” he said. “And you know what, I might even look around for her after that in heaven.”
Weeks shares, “What getting married means to me is dedicating your life to this person, promising to always be there, to love unconditionally and without hesitation. To always put them first, to listen, to encourage, and never stop being their friend first.”
French chandeliers were hung inside the barn for the pair’s reception. White florals and flickering candles set a romantic atmosphere. Other decorations were in rich tones of ivory, champagne, sand and black.
“Tennessee Whiskey” by Chris Stapleton played for Jordan and Weeks’ first dance as husband and wife. They then had their respective mother-son and father-daughter dances.
For dinner, guests were served Caesar salad with chicken Alfredo, baked spaghetti and a vegan option, the latter of which Jordan joked he would not be trying. Sides for the comfort food included seasoned green beans, mashed potatoes with gravy, and fresh rolls.
“We really wanted our guests who traveled to experience a southern-cooked meal,” Weeks said.
Dessert was slices of the couple’s “classy and elegant” three-tier wedding cake decorated with bows. Each tier was a different flavor, from bottom to top: butter vanilla with strawberry filling, chocolate with raspberry filling, and strawberry with strawberry cream cheese filling.
Jordan and Weeks met when they were 18 years old after they were both “dragged” by their families to a Cody Johnson concert in Nacogdoches, Texas, on June 12, 2021. Weeks and her family were trying to find a good place to stand when they happened to settle next to Jordan and his family.
“The rest is history,” Weeks said.
What the bride admires most about Jordan is his “compassion toward others, his patience, his ability to always make me laugh, and his strong dedication toward his family.” It was hard for the groom to narrow down what he loves about Weeks, but he notes that “her selflessness,” “her ability to forgive,” and “her beauty” are some of her top traits.
“She’s most beautiful when she doesn’t know I’m watching, like when she’s brushing her hair, laughing at something only she finds funny, etc.,” he explains. “Beauty in the real, raw, unposed moments. She is beautiful beyond words.”
Jordan popped the question on their land in Texas on Jan. 4 — less than a year after the couple welcomed their first child together, 13-month-old daughter Emma Rae.
“This was very meaningful to us because this is where we plan to raise our kids and build a home one day,” Weeks said.
Jordan announced his engagement news the following day on Instagram, sharing several photos of his rose petal-filled proposal.
“To the Woman I love most. You are the light of my life, Sweetheart. I love you to the moon and back a million times and more,” he wrote in the caption of his post. “I can’t wait to see what the future brings for us and our family.”
Jordan’s personal life somewhat mirrors his character Georgie Cooper from *George & Mandy’s First Marriage*. The show follows Cooper and his wife Mandy McAllister (Emily Osment) as they raise their new baby in Texas while navigating the challenges of parenting and marriage.
While Jordan won’t be taking any marriage lessons from his character because “he’s always in trouble with the wife and [doesn’t] like to be in trouble,” he and Weeks look forward to figuring out married life and parenthood together.
“I’m excited to experience life with my best friend and our beautiful children,” Weeks shares. “Hopefully one day we are sitting on a porch swing together watching our kids with their kids and reminiscing on all the memories we created together.”
The couple will go on their honeymoon next year.
